Activision-Blizzard's CEO Kotick talked a bit about Blizzard's next MMO on the Investors' Call for 2nd Quarter's resutls. While he didn't get into much details he confirmed that the game will be based on a brand new Intellectual Property, meaning completely new lore & story. While Zarhym have confirmed that in the past as well, some people didn't accept that (too much into World of Starcraft :P), so now it is 100% certain that the new MMO will use a brand new IP.

Robert Kotick's Quote:

And remember, we have two enormous investments: one in Bungie and the other in another project at Blizzard that we haven't given a lot of visibility to. Those are going to be entirely new intellectual properties. But with the recognition that the way to build them is take long amounts of time, lots of capable talent, an enormous amount of capital and you have to have a real roadmap for innovation and creativity. And I think that those are going to be two very good examples from the ground up original ideas.

So, speaking of visibility, do you think the game will be announced on BlizzCon 2010, or we will have to wait some more?
